3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Reservation Confirmation

  • Bookings are only confirmed once full payment or the required deposit has been received.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion.

3.2 Pricing

  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • Prices include VAT where applicable unless otherwise stated.
  • We may change pricing at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept payment via methods indicated on the Website. You agree to provide valid payment details.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Guest Cancellations

Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation:

  • 30+ days before arrival: Full refund (less any admin or payment fees)
  • 14–29 days before arrival: 50% refund
  • Less than 14 days before arrival: No refund
  • No-show or early departure: No refund

Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time.

4.2 Owner Cancellations

If we must cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances:

  • You will receive a full refund; or
  • We may offer alternative accommodation (subject to availability)

We shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by you.

5. Check-In and Check-Out

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Check-in: From 14:00
  • Check-out: By 10:00

Late check-out may incur additional charges.

6. House Rules

By staying at Lilliput House, you agree to:

  • Respect the property and neighbours
  • Not exceed the maximum occupancy
  • Not host parties or events without prior written consent
  • Not smoke inside the property (if applicable)
  • Comply with all reasonable instructions from management

We reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund if house rules are violated.

7. Damage, Loss, and Security

You are responsible for:

  • Any damage to the property or its contents
  • Loss of keys or access devices
  • Excessive cleaning is required after your stay

We may charge your provided payment method for such costs.

8. Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:

  • Your stay is at your own risk.
  • Lilliput House is not liable for:
    • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
    • Injury, illness, or death occurring on the premises
    • Service interruptions beyond our control
    • Force majeure events (including weather, power outages, or municipal failures)

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
